If you’re a die-hard Clemson football fan, a proud alum, or just a resident of the Upstate who wants to impress your guests, Lakeside Lodge Clemson is the perfect spot for any celebration, big or small. We’ve even met requirements for the Palmetto Priority Pledge to ensure a fun – and safe – environment for your special celebration.

Lakeside Lodge is more than just a luxury resort with top-of-the-line amenities; with 5 indoor and outdoor event spaces from which to choose, we can accommodate a soiree of any size - from the intimate work retreat or dinner gathering to a family reunion or a wedding reception. According to Jefferson Giles, our Special Events Director, “We are a one-stop-shop. We want to make (the) process of planning your special event as easy (and safe) as possible.”

Planning an event can be stressful — especially now. Savannah and the rest of our team take pains to relieve the burdens of planning by furnishing all the tables, chairs, and house linens for your event. You’re welcome to supply decorations and floral arrangements - or we can help you find the right vendor. We offer hotel room blocks for out-of-town attendees, and we also provide catering from our on-site restaurant, Traditions on the Lake. Each event is customized to the needs of the client - whether those needs include a fully plated meal, a buffet with numerous choices, or hors d’oeuvres and beverages.

We recognize that some people may choose to postpone larger gatherings until 2021. However, we can assure you that we take the health and safety of our guests and employees very seriously and are taking precautions recommended by the U.S. Travel Association for both group events and lodging guests. Whether you’re waiting for a time where all of the guests on your list are able to make it, or planning something smaller and limited to friends and family who are within driving distance, we’re happy to accommodate you with either our indoor or outdoor venues.

The Spaces

Located just off the restaurant is the intimate Private Dining Room, with seating for up to 16. It’s a great spot for a rehearsal dinner or everyday family dinner, or for a small office retreat or lunch meeting. Need something bigger for an anniversary, shower, or milestone birthday? The Lakeside Ballroom can accommodate 80 people for a formal seated affair or as many as 120 for a cocktail hour or a classroom-style seated event.

If an outdoor venue is more appropriate, we have three to fit your needs. The Outdoor Gazebo is a romantic spot with a lake view, perfect for a wedding ceremony followed by a seated dinner for your 24 closest friends and family, or an exclusive wine and cheese party. Our Outdoor Amphitheater features a stage and a leveled lawn large enough for 60 people to attend a musical or theatrical performance or outdoor wedding.

The true standout event locale at Lakeside Lodge is the Activity Field. With enough room to seat 300 people for dinner, or 400 standing up for hors-d’oeuvres, there is no greater venue for a Clemson University-themed wedding, reunion, Greek event, or tailgating with a crowd. Orange and purple attire is optional.

Scheduling Your Event

Booking one of our event sites is as simple as calling or emailing Jefferson. He’ll walk you through all of the steps necessary to make your event a success. “I recommend reserving as soon as possible” in advance of the occasion, he says. “Event reservations are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, and we will not hold any event spaces for longer than 72 hours without the signed contract and retainer fee.” We do require a nonrefundable deposit to hold the space, and the deposit amount varies based on which venue you’re reserving.
